If you have noticed you water bill suddenly jumping by hundreds of dollars, or are noticing puddles or weak ground in your yard, you may have a sprinkler system leak. The leaks may not only be affecting the amount of money you pay to the water company, you may also see expensive damage to your home structure and fencing from excess water in the ground. Miranda Leak Detection Service can help homeowners detect leaks and fix the leaks.
How Do I Determine If I Have A Leak?
The easiest way to determine if you have a leak is to look at you main water meter. This is usually located in your yard marked with a cover or on the wall of your home. The meter will have a small dial that rotates; turn the water supply off to your sprinkler system and home. Watch the dial for a minute or more if the dial is still moving on the meter, you likely have a leak. The dial may move slightly back and forth with water pressure fluctuations, but a continuous movement is a sign of a leak. Another trick is to turn the water supply off at the sprinkler system and then waiting 10 to 15 minutes. When you turn the water back on, by turning the valve slowly, if you hear water moving through the valve, you have a leak.
